SnapItUp App Reviews
Nice and cute!
This is nice and cute! I really like the idea. UI is pretty simple and intuitive. This is perfect for kids.
I purschaed this app due to strong recommendation from a friend. It has been 2 weeks and I feel like using it every day. It is so user friendly that my 4 yr old also likes to try it out. Last weekend I used this app to spice up the photographs of a bithday party. Since I shared my photos, all friends have been asking about this app. By using this app, one gets a sense that the developer is a very kids-oriented person, and has put his/her heart and soul in the applicaton. The graphic has a lots of variety and has been done with great taste. I hope the developer comes up with more such innovative, outstanding and kids friendly apps.
Awesome app! We had a party and everyone spent hours taking pictures and emailing them. We printed until I ran out of ink. Its an easy app to you and I like that I can load my own frames. The frames that come with the app are great. Its well worth the money.
Ok, I got to confess I am an arts major and I am deathly scared of computers. Normally I dont touch anything except skype and two apps I have for school. But I really wanted to take some themed photos with my pals like back home. Now the most difficult put was actually installing app store (sofware update?? Reboot?!). The second most difficult part was going all the way to bookstore to get a gift card with cash, as I dont have a credit card yet. Why cant they do something easier for colleges? But I degress. The application itself is a BREEZE. You run it and it displays a rotating hexagon thingy with different picture frames and video from the webcam, so you see exactly what the photo will look like. Then you just click on something to take that photo and there are print and e-mail icons right on the same screen. Printed pictures look lovely, also as an art person I appreciate how there is a background behind portrait frames that dont completely feel the side of the hexagon and it changes colors to match the theme of the frame. The only con is that I got a yelling from my mom because its the first time I sent her a picture in two months and it was nightclub frame so she wondered what exacly I was doing there. Actually it was right in my room :-) Anyway, just wanted to let fellow technophobes know not to be affraid to try it. The store page doesnt mention it, but there is also a free trial on the website.
Finally upgraded from the trial version. This app is great for dorm rooms, because else there are really no backdrops to take photos against - just an iMac and a wall. With SnapItUp party photos still come out looking fun. I love how you dont have to bend down to press a key and then run back to stand with friends - just click a button on the remote. You can even zoom the camera and adjust brightness with the remote - again a must for a small space!
And I am pleasently surprised by quality, reusability and regular updates. We first used this for my sons birthday party and it has been a great timesaver. Since then, we have used this for a family newsletter and a sleepover and I look forward for making some themed facebook albums for Halloween. I think its a great value for the price, since you can make custom themes for your own events and keep using the app for different occasions.
We had it set for Disco themes and had a Macbook hooked up to a living room Plasma TV and a Logitech webcam. Its no work at all to take photos, just sit on the sofa and click a remote. Guests love posing because they see exactly how the picture is going to come out, and printed photos come out very good looking and sharp.
If you ask me, they should have used Core Animation. Thats what I keep telling people at wurk but nobody listens, its so much faster. Inside the app bundle is the most gigantic Quartz Composition I have ever thing. But anyway, it works well on my old beat up Macbook, so who am I to complain? I made a USB button out of a broken learning toy and he kept pressing it for the whole evening while I had to work. I even got a couple of smiles out of him with the video scroll back feature. I say it was a good buy
But in todays economy we are not serving Dom Pérignon! So here a cheap trick - put a folding table at the door, cover with red cloth and hoist a printer and an iMac running this app on top, then put a couple of balloons against the opposite wall. Have each couple take and print/email photos as they come. Now put some dance music videos on TV and your are just out five bucks plus pizza and beer! BUT your guests feel like they visited a nice club because they get fancy photo cards personalized with their and/or event name. Party over? Just open saved photos, adjust/theme/sign the best one and post on Facebook. I think this is a very practical app designed with todays budget and time concious party hosts in mind!
Installed on my Macbook Pro and played with our daughters pic. A lot of themes to choose from: birthday, holloween, Christmas, etc. Fun to create your personalized pic.
Well, i wanted to get a picture app so that i could take pictures with a variety of features, templates & themes. So i looked for these apps that did this and i found many... I usually read the reviews so that i dont get ripped off but this app had none. I checked the previous version reviews and they were pretty positive and since the app looked cool and productive well i bought it. 5 dollars of my itunes money DOWN THE DRAIN!!! Its super slow, it doesnt do things like it shows, you click on a theme and it takes A LOT of time, you click for a picture and it takes a LOT of time... Its just a really slow app that i honestly DONT reccomend. It also shuts down quicklyy!! y can barely use it!! So since there was no reiew to warn ME im making one to warn all of youu.
Not worth it
Waste of my 5 bucks, wish we could return apps and get our money back
